FACULTY ACQUISITION POLICY

The primary mission of Knowledge Trust is to promote excellence in technical education, therefore it strongly believes the value of human capital in an academic institution and hence emphasizes on acquisition of right talents as resource faculty. Those who are willing to work in a high performance academic institution will be attracted to join as faculty members.

The faculties will be treated as high potential resources having meta qualities such as Attitude, Skills and Knowledge (ASK) for undertaking multifaceted responsibilities under the umbrella of an academic institution. Hence, the trust expects from such resource persons; Excellence in teaching, coaching, counseling, undertaking research projects and community service.

The purpose of the Faculty Acquisition Policy is to attract, acquire, develop, reward and retain high caliber intellectually vibrant faculty members.

  The faculties are classified into different categories as explained here under.
  • Chair Professor
  • Professor/Associate Prof./Senior Lecturer/Lecturer
  • Research Associate
  • Visiting Faculty
  • Adjunct Faculty

Categories
  • Chair Professor

    Any professional having made consistently outstanding contributions to the field of knowledge in a discipline (science, engineering, management) and can take initiative to promote research, quality & standard of teaching & instructions, develop faculty resources, attract projects from external agencies, establish collaborative linkages with Universities/institutes of higher learnings/industries etc., will be offered as Chair Professor.

     
  • Professor/Associate Professor/Senior Lecturer/

    These categories of faculties will be inducted as per the prescribed norms of All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE).

     
  • Research Associate

    Freshers with Master's Degree in Sciences, Humanities, Computer Application and Business Administration, and Engineering Graduates (B.Tech.) interested to pursue their career in academics are eligible to work as Research Associate. S/he will assist the faculty members in teaching, conducting practical/tutorials, developing laboratories & case studies, and liasoning with external agencies.

     
  • Visiting Faculty

    Persons with teaching/industrial experiences and willing to teach are opted as Visiting Faculties. They can be invited from any institute/industry from across the globe.

     
  • Adjunct Faculty

    Working professionals can be associated with the institute on a flexi time basis ranging from one to three days in a week to teach a particular subject.

     
  • Contract Faculty

    Professionals with adequate teaching as well as working experience can associate him/her with the institute by way of taking responsibility of teaching one course or part of a term including theories, tutorials and examination, on a consolidated fees basis.
